"DJ Got United states Fallin' in Love" is a song past American vocalizer Usher, featuring invitee vocals from American rapper Pitbull, who co-wrote the vocal with the producers Shellback and Max Martin, with additional writing from Savan Kotecha. It was released to digital download on Dec 11, 2010, and sent to radio on December 24, 2010, as the offset single from Conductor'south EP, Versus EP, which is an extension of his sixth studio album, Raymond five. Raymond. An electronic dance track with a Europop fashion (though the track was recorded in the United States), the song puts emphasis on its chorus, and follows the chord progression of Gm-F-E♭. It received mixed to positive reviews from critics, who favored its product and Conductor's vocals, merely criticized the song's lack of originality.
"DJ Got United states Fallin' in Love" peaked in the top-10 in over xv countries, condign ane of Usher's most successful singles. "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Dearest" was leaked on the net on December 1, 2010, with its follow-up single "Hot Tottie" leaked afterwards that calendar month.[1] [2] The song was released from Versus as the EP'south mainstream single, whereas the latter track was released every bit the urban single.[3] "DJ Got U.s. Despite citing the lyrics every bit repetitive, he thought that the song "should go along clubgoers moving for months to come".[ix]

It became Conductor's 2d top-20 debut of 2010, after "OMG" opened at number xiv in April.[13] On the week ending Dec 24, 2010 "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" was positioned at number v. "DJ Got The states Fallin' in Love" was certified Platinum in the regions of México and Switzerland, past the AMPROFON and IFPI, respectively. The vocal accomplished success in Europe, peaking at number three on the European Hot 100.[ citation needed ] Internationally "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" reached the top-ten in over fifteen countries, becoming 1 of Usher's most successful singles. It peaked in the top five in Japan,[22] Republic of hungary,[23] France,[24] Switzerland,[25] Germany[26] and Austria.[27]

The music video for the song premièred on August 26, 2010, on Vevo, and was directed by Hiro Murai.[31] [32] The video begins in a club environment, with misplaced piece of furniture and a shattered glass bottle. The scene goes in contrary move, people instantly appear, frozen in a raving action. As the scene is still reversing a DJ is spinning his booth, and the shattered glass bottle forms into its original state, the clubbers and the scene then start to move in forward but slow motion and the song begins with Usher approaching from a set of stairs. Usher sings and dances, while moving by clubbers who are nonetheless moving in ho-hum movement while he is in moving normally. Once the chorus comes in, the clubbers begin dancing and raving in normal motility, periodically slowing downwards; Usher is krumping pass them, moving on to the next scene. Usher slides into a room with a large lit up window as a back drop. He performs choreography backed-up by female dancers for the second verse, and then returns to the original room with the second chorus coming in. A similar scene is involved to the first chorus, but this fourth dimension Usher is dancing with the clubbers, who are yet alternating in movement speed. Pitbull then begins his verse, and is sat in a V.I.P. surface area with 3 females, with the photographic camera alternating between him, the clubbers and Usher. The video ends with its final scene, in a dance off, with Usher dancing adjacent to some of the clubbers. Usher first performed "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Dearest" on Good Forenoon America, aslope "OMG".[33] A few days later, Conductor performed the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[34] On Dec 17, 2010, he performed the vocal alongside "There Goes My Baby" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.[35] Usher performed "DJ Got U.s.a. Fallin' in Dearest" in the season v finale of America'southward Got Talent,[36] and in the seventh season of The Ten Gene.[37] He performed the song during his OMG Tour, alongside several other tracks.[38] The song was performed with "OMG" during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.[39] VMA executive producer Dave Sirulnick told MTV News, "Nosotros said to him, 'Nosotros want to practise the best televised dance routine that you've washed in years. Allow's show why y'all're the male monarch.'"[39] MTV Buzzworthy author, Tamar Antai was nowadays at the rehearsal for the show, and commented that the VMA crew was about to "pull off visual feats not just previously unseen and unparalleled at the VMAs, simply unseen and unparalleled on Telly."[40]
The performance was received with critical acclaim. On Conductor specifically Antai said the performance was like "liquid magic," saying, "He took it to the level that comes afterwards the adjacent level.
